CAROL FITZPATRICK
ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY


Carol has gathered the knowledge of art through varied classroom endeavors; attending classes at Moore Institute of Art, Phila., Pa., Fleisher Art Memorial, Phila., Pa., Perkins Center for the Arts, Moorestown, N.J., and under the tutelage of Gisela Bly, The Art Circle, Moorestown, N.J. and Karen Smith, Studio Classroom, Pemberton, N.J.
Her work has been accepted in juried shows at Perkins Center for the Arts, Moorestown, N.J. Markeim Art Center, Haddonfield, N.J., Burlington County Cultural and Heritage Affairs, Smithville, N.J., Burlington County Art Guild, Burl. City, N.J.,Willingboro Art Alliance, Willingboro, N.J. and Center for the Arts, Marlton, N.J.
Carol was proud to be included in an article written in the Burlington County Woman August/September 2009 publication on Outstanding Women.
Affiliations include: Burlington County Art Guild, Center for the Arts, Marlton, Willingboro Art Alliance, M.A.C., Medford, N.J. and Markeim Center, Haddonfield, N.J.
She was proud to be one of the artists chosen for the Burlington County Art Project “The Eagles Have Landed.” Her eagle “Progress” was displayed at the Bordentown train station and has since been permanently installed in front of the “Watchcase Building” in Riverside, N.J.
She found it an honor to paint a mural in commemoration of the co founder of Open Connections located in Newtown Square, Pa. which adorns the foyer of the main building. Open Connections is an alternative education program for grades one through twelve.
Recent awards include B.C.A.G. Robert Ransley Show, W.A.A. Arthur H. Sacker award for fine art, Burl. Co. Board of Chosen Freeholders, Smithville and various others.
She has served as Vice-President of the Willingboro Art Alliance, Treasurer and Membership Chairperson for the Burlington County Art Guild.
Two years as President of the Burlington County Art Guild proved to be a rewarding experience bringing new and innovative ideas to the organization. She presently serves on the guild board of directors as Past President and Liaison to the Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts in Burlington City.
